Lisa Prescott arrived in Vancouver in 2003, and immediately knew she wanted to call British Columbia home. She fell in love with the mountains, the ocean, the greenery and the warm winters, and decided to stay. Over 20 years later, Vancouver-Renfrew is still home—and she even convinced her parents to move to BC too!
With degrees in Industrial Engineering (BSc) and Mechanical Engineering (MSc), Lisa served the public for more than 20 years, including in senior roles with the City of Vancouver and BC Hydro. She has developed policy and strategy, led large-scale operations, navigated complex bureaucracies, improved processes, and managed multi-million-dollar budgets. Today, she uses these skills as a consultant.
Over the past two decades, Lisa has seen her community and the city she loves change dramatically. She has also watched friends leave Vancouver and BC because they no longer felt they could afford to build the life they wanted here. She believes Vancouver and BC have enormous potential—and that we can create communities where people can afford to stay, feel safe and have opportunities to thrive.
After years of watching her community change and asking what could be done, Lisa decided it was time to start doing it. She welcomes good ideas from across the political spectrum and joined CentreBC because she believes the centre is where to share perspectives; where ideas come together and solutions take shape.
Lisa is ready to step up for change for the Vancouver Renfrew community—and to help residents fall in love with BC all over again.
