CJDC TV: Conservatives slide in latest poll, as CentreBC’s Bernier launches province-wide “Pick-Up Tour”

CJDC TV, August 19, 2026 — Centre BC leader Mike Bernier has launched a nine-day province-wide “Pick-Up Tour” as the new party looks to capitalize on growing dissatisfaction among centre-right voters. A new Research Co. poll puts Centre BC at five per cent support, while the B.C. NDP leads with 44 per cent and the B.C. Conservatives trail at 39 per cent. Bernier says Centre BC aims to recruit disillusioned Conservative voters and become an alternative to both major parties.
