Karin Kirkpatrick

Founding Leader / Strategic Advisor

Karin Kirkpatrick is a business leader, former Member of the Legislative Assembly, corporate director, and the Founding Leader of CentreBC.

Karin served as the MLA for West Vancouver–Capilano from 2020 to 2024. Following the 2024 provincial election, with a group of like-minded British Columbians, she founded CentreBC, leading the creation of British Columbia’s balanced and pragmatic provincial political party, and helping establish its organizational foundation, constitution, governance structure, and province-wide membership.

Before entering elected office, Karin built a distinguished career spanning the private, public, academic, and non-profit sectors. She served as Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate Foundation of BC, Assistant Dean at the UBC Sauder School of Business, and CEO of Family Services. She has served on numerous boards and public agencies, including the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, the BC Council for International Education, the Vancity Community Foundation, and the Judicial Council of British Columbia.

Karin is currently Vice-President of the Kay Meek Arts Centre Board and continues to contribute to public policy, community leadership, and governance initiatives. She remains actively involved with CentreBC by supporting the development of local riding associations, policy initiatives, and fundraising efforts across the province.

A Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA), Karin also holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Laws. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for bringing people together, building organizations from the ground up, and finding practical, collaborative solutions to complex challenges.

Karin lives in West Vancouver, where she enjoys spending time with family and friends and plans to return to a life in the arts and music.
