Rachelle Chartrand is an internationally acclaimed storyteller, speaker and educator with a reputation for inspiring change. She holds a Bachelor of Secondary Education with a major in Physics and a minor in Math, and has taught everything from high school physics to kindergarten to ESL in South Korea and India. She presently teaches at the Cultural Immersion School (Okanagan Indian Band). Her training and experience include working with at-risk youth, young offenders and gang-entrenched youth as well as children with diverse learning challenges.
An award-winning filmmaker, Rachelle ran a socially-driven production company in Vancouver.
Her projects received government funding and public grants as well as private investment; and have won many accolades locally and internationally. Rachelle served as President of Women in Film and Television Vancouver, the BC chapter of an international organization committed to empowering women in screen-based media. Rachelle is also a published author and ghostwriter, specializing in writing memoirs for inspiring individuals who have overcome addictions, and childhood traumas.
Since joining CentreBC in May 2025, Rachelle has served in several leadership roles, including Okanagan Regional Director, Membership Chair, and Communications Chair. Through these positions, she worked to strengthen member engagement, support riding development, and help communicate a positive vision for the future of our party and province.
Rachelle lives in Lake Country, where you can find her kayaking on Wood Lake, strolling the Rail Trail, volunteering with her Rotary Club or chatting with people at the local coffee shop about the issues that mean most to them.
